Joining the housing company network and billing
The housing company broadband installation and activation were completed on 23 May 2019. The housing company bills the Internet connection as part of the maintenance charge. Connections from other operators can still be used at the resident’s own expense, and cancelling them is the resident’s responsibility. A €69 connection fee (incl. 25.5% VAT) will be charged to the resident for connecting at a later date.

Using the housing company broadband
The connection can be activated from the apartment’s distribution cabinet using the SB port. A computer or Wi-Fi router can be connected directly to this port, and the connection will start working automatically. The distribution cabinet is usually located in the hallway and typically looks like a white metal cabinet.
Inside the distribution cabinet, there are additional numbered Ethernet ports. These can be used to extend the connection to corresponding numbered sockets in the apartment.
A router must be used with the connection. ADSL and VDSL modems cannot be used, as the service is delivered via an Ethernet connection. The recommended minimum requirements for the router are:
- WAN and LAN ports must support 1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds
- Wi-Fi 6/AX standard is recommended for wireless connectivity
- Ethernet cables should be at least CAT6 standard
Each connected apartment will receive one (1) IPv4 address, so devices should be in routing mode.
