Two-Factor Authentication
For VPN users of SuomiCom’s firewall service, two-factor authentication is available as a paid add-on using Fortinet’s FortiToken Mobile app. Two-factor authentication is a security measure that protects your VPN account from unauthorized access. When enabled, in addition to your password, you must verify your login using the FortiToken Mobile app. The purpose of two-factor authentication is to ensure that only you have access to your VPN account, even if your password is stolen or otherwise compromised.
Instructions for Two-Factor Authentication
1. Download Fortinet’s FortiToken Mobile on your mobile device. Links: Android / Apple iOS
2. Open the image file sent to your email and scan the QR code with FortiToken Mobile.
3. Enter the 6-digit code from FortiToken Mobile when logging in to FortiClient VPN.
Note: The QR code is valid for three days.
