We have once again doubled our traffic volume at the FICIX exchange point within a year (now 10G), and our traffic now accounts for 10% of the total traffic at the FICIX node (100G). Our customers value the direct and low-latency connections that we have achieved through extensive peering agreements.

We have upgraded our FICIX peering connection to 100G speed as part of our network backbone modernization project, where all key connections are being upgraded to 100G speed. Concurrently, we have discontinued our AMS-IX connection, as the traffic exchange via FICIX is significantly more cost-effective and of higher quality due to the new connections.
Today, we launched our new website. We updated both the visual design and content to better reflect what SuomiCom is and aspires to be. The goal of this redesign was to more effectively and concisely communicate the services we offer and to highlight our values. We are constantly striving to improve the quality of our network, as evidenced by our latest peering agreements. We are the first operator in Finland to establish peering agreements with all three major cloud service providers: Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. Traffic is exchanged within Finland, resulting in latency of approximately 1ms from SuomiCom’s network to these three networks. This significantly benefits customers using the cloud services of these three providers.

The cybersecurity voucher of €15,000 – €100,000 is available from December 1, 2022. The voucher can be used for services such as DDoS attack prevention, advanced firewall solutions, and two-factor authentication for VPN services. These services are available from SuomiCom.
