Suomi Communications Oy, or SuomiCom, is a Finnish internet service provider founded in 2001 that is critical for national operational reliability. We belong to the small group of providers whose uninterrupted operation is particularly important for society during crises, disruptions and exceptional circumstances. SuomiCom’s service offering includes internet connections, corporate networks, IP transit services and all related telecommunications services. SuomiCom primarily serves three customer segments: businesses, operators and communities.
Fiber Network for Businesses
SuomiCom's fiber network is built to meet and satisfy the needs of businesses. The backbone network nodes of SuomiCom are located at the FICIX exchange points, providing exceptionally low latency for broadband connections. In the Helsinki metropolitan area alone, SuomiCom has 75 telecommunications centers and two data centers.

We are the first operator in Finland to sign traffic exchange agreements with all three major cloud service providers (Microsoft, Google, and Amazon). Traffic is exchanged in Finland, resulting in a latency of only about one millisecond from SuomiCom's network to these three networks. This benefits customers using the cloud services of these three providers in particular.
SuomiCom continually develops the production environment of broadband and fiber connections to be more energy-efficient. Our total energy consumption in the broadband production environment has decreased for several years thanks to solutions implemented in corporate networks and data centers. We now offer more speed with less electricity consumption.
